The agreement, in plain sentences.
These terms cover how you may use the ReciPop app, what a subscription includes, and what ReciPop is and is not responsible for. Read them once and you are set.
1. This agreement
ReciPop is operated by Chronica Labs Ltd ("Chronica Labs", "we", "us"), registered at 10 Kings Court, Uxbridge Rd, TW15 6DG, United Kingdom. ReciPop is an iOS app that saves recipes you find, presents them as step-by-step instructions, and shows estimated per-serving nutrition. By downloading or using the app you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
ReciPop is licensed to you, not sold. Your licence is personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and limited to your own Apple ID and devices, as described in Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Apple Standard EULA"). These Terms apply in addition to the Apple Standard EULA. Where the two conflict on a subject the Apple Standard EULA covers, the Apple Standard EULA governs.
2. Who can use ReciPop
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf. ReciPop is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
3. Subscriptions and payment
Some features require ReciPop Plus, a paid auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store. The exact price, duration, and any introductory offer for your region are always shown on the purchase screen inside the app before you confirm.
Auto-renewal and cancellation
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period, at the price then shown for your plan. Manage or cancel your subscription in Settings on your device, under your Apple ID, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Free trial
Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion of it is forfeited when you buy a subscription that replaces it. Trials are limited to one per user or Apple family group unless stated otherwise.
Refunds
Purchases made through the App Store are handled by Apple, so refunds are subject to Apple's policies. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue App Store refunds directly, but write to us and we will help where we can.
Price changes
If we change a subscription price, Apple will notify you and, where required, ask you to consent before the next renewal is charged. You may cancel instead.
4. Acceptable use
Use ReciPop for your own cooking. Do not do any of the following:
- Copy, resell, sublicense, or redistribute the app or its content.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code, except where that right cannot be excluded by law.
- Use automated means to scrape, overload, or interfere with our services or the third-party services we rely on.
- Import content you have no right to use, or use the app to infringe anyone's rights.
We may suspend or end your access if you break these rules or use the app in a way that harms other people or the service.
5. Recipes, links, and third-party content
When you import a recipe by link, ReciPop reads the page you point it at and rebuilds the recipe for your own private use in your cookbook. The underlying recipe, text, and imagery belong to whoever created them. ReciPop does not claim ownership of it, does not publish your cookbook, and is not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or availability of third-party pages. Respect the rights of the creators whose recipes you save.
Some recipe data and imagery is supplied by third-party providers. Their content is used under their own terms and may change or become unavailable without notice.
6. Nutrition estimates are not health advice
Calorie and macro figures in ReciPop are estimates, calculated from the ingredients we can read in a recipe. They are not measured in a laboratory and will not exactly match what you cook. They are good enough to compare two dinners, and they are not a substitute for professional medical, nutritional, or dietary advice.
Do not rely on ReciPop to manage a medical condition, an allergy, or an intolerance. Always read ingredient labels and check with a qualified professional. Dietary labels such as "vegetarian" or "gluten-free" are automated best guesses over the recipe text and can be wrong. If you have a food allergy, verify every ingredient yourself.
Cooking involves heat, knives, and raw ingredients. Follow safe food-handling practice and use your own judgement about doneness and storage.
7. Our intellectual property
The ReciPop name, logo, Pop, the app design, and the software are owned by us and protected by intellectual-property law. These Terms grant you no rights in them beyond using the app as intended.
8. Changes to the app and these Terms
We improve ReciPop continuously, so features may be added, changed, or removed. If we make a material change to these Terms we will post the updated version here and update the date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
9. Disclaimers and limits
ReciPop is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We depend on third-party services and cannot guarantee every import will succeed.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or ten pounds sterling. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights.
10. Apple
Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support for ReciPop. Apple is not responsible for the app, for any claim that it fails to conform to a warranty, for product-liability or intellectual-property claims relating to it, or for addressing them. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo, are not on a prohibited-parties list, and will comply with applicable third-party terms when using the app.
11. Privacy
How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
12. Ending this agreement
You may stop using ReciPop at any time by deleting the app, and cancel any subscription through the App Store. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Because your cookbook, grocery list, and targets are stored on your device, deleting the app deletes that data.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where your local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
